Colorado has so many options for family photos in the mountains. There is the one extreme of hiking for a while and then dropping to your knee for a surprise proposal. But if you’ve spent time choosing everyone’s outfits and you didn’t even wear your dress in the car so as to not get wrinkles, then you need somewhere that you can drive to.

Easy Walk to the Mountain Photo Session

Not only were we all able to stay clean and ironed, but even Duke wasn’t dirty for these family photos with the family dog. He was well-behaved and was so easy to trick into looking at the camera! :0) When he wasn’t on scene, my lovely husband watched over him. Thank you babe!!

The beautiful thing about adventurous people is that they’re willing to hike a few feet and then the image totally changes to one a bit more dramatic for the photo of dad and teenage sons (almost teenage (-; ) That tree had been burned so it was slightly charred, but no worries — it brushed out just fine.

The beauty of a mountain photo session is that all we had to do was turn around and reposition slightly for the image of the boys by the mountain lake. So many options in such a small area!

Again, we didn’t have to hike forever to get a mountain lake in the background when it came time to photograph the parents. Such a great, versatile location!
